Not just any preparation. But proper preparation! In order for someone to align their preparation properly with the desired result, they must know what is expected of them. I’ve been on both ends of this. I’ve failed to set expectations – and I’ve received vague instruction myself. Neither have led to the best outcome. Without expectations set before them, there will be no way for someone to properly prepare at maximum capacity. Therefore, setting clear expectations for someone will lead to the ability to prepare at a high level and create a better chance at reaching the desired result.
